Our Mission
Mojave Donkey League is a community-run nonprofit based in Joshua Tree, California.
Our mission is to inspire a future where donkeys have a meaningful place in our lives again, and in doing so give more donkeys and formerly wild burros the companionship, purpose, and adventure they deserve.
What We Do
Educate
Educate donkey owners, prospective adopters, and the greater public on how to care for donkeys and give them active lives full of adventure.
Train
Gentle and train wild burros.
Support
Connect burros with local adopters and support them throughout the process.
Engage
Engage the local donkey community by creating donkey hiking, camping, and packing trail guides and organizing group trips.
